Since its inception, the OPFC Academy has strived to provide the best possible development environment for our players and coaches. Our dedicated top-class coaching staff, principles of play, and player-focused environment provide a platform for each individual to maximize their potential.

Our possession-based game model allows each player to develop on the ball. We believe that dominating and possessing the ball is key to developing a player’s ability to play to be creative and comfortable with the ball at their feet. Our principles of play are supported by our game model which provides a clear picture for our players to execute at the highest level in all 4 key moments of the game. For more information on our Game Model check out our OPFC DNA.

COMPETITION TIERS IN OREGON

Oregon Premier FC will continue to evaluate all available leagues and tiers of competition to determine which are best for the development of our players and coaches. In an effort to provide clarity to our membership in an ever-changing landscape of leagues and event offerings, we have created the above “Competition Pyramids.” Our club leadership maintains relationships with and an accurate understanding of the value of each of the tiers listed above - some of which we have chosen to participate in, others we have not.

Currently the OPFC Academy competes in the ECNL, ECNL-Regional League, and the Girls Academy League, ensuring our players have access to top-tier competition on a national stage. As part of the OPFC community, we are proud to participate in the most competitive leagues across North America. These partnerships allow us to provide our players with the best possible platform for development, exposure, and growth within the game.

Elite Clubs National League

Boys Elite Clubs National League | ECNL

The Boys ECNL is based on the values of grass-roots collaboration and innovation, and supports the independence and freedom of coaches and clubs to fully manage the development path for their players, including the system and style of play, the competitive calendar, and all aspects of the development path. The Boys ECNL will raise standards in training, competition, club organization, and coaching in a holistic development program.

Boys Elite Clubs National League - Regional League | ECNL-RL

ECNL Boys Regional Leagues are operated and managed so as to ensure a consistent environment and level of professionalism across all leagues, facilitating more club connectivity between levels of play and providing a path for more players within each Member Club to reach their fullest potential. Each league allows for coordination and collaboration between the teams of different levels within ECNL clubs, or opportunity for teams and players in other clubs to develop through regular high-level competition.

The Girls Academy League

Girls Academy League | GA

The Girls Academy (GA) is the premier youth development platform for elite female soccer players in the United States. Founded on the principles of collaboration and innovation, the GA empowers member clubs and coaches with the autonomy to manage their players' development pathways fully. This includes decisions regarding playing style, competitive schedules, and all facets of player progression. By fostering a player-centric environment, the GA actively involves athletes in shaping the league's direction, ensuring their perspectives are integral to its mission. This approach elevates standards in training, competition, club organization, and coaching, promoting holistic development for every player.
