Corri Cairns | All Female Technical Leadership Course
Oregon Premier FC is thrilled to announce that our Girls Academy Director, Corri Cairns, has been selected to participate in the inaugural all-female Club Technical Leadership Level 1 Course. This pioneering program, a collaborative effort by US Club Soccer, US Youth Soccer, Women and Girls in Soccer (WAGS), and U.S. Soccer's SheChampions Coaching Initiative, aims to elevate women into leadership roles within the soccer community. Notably, Corri is the sole representative from Oregon in this esteemed cohort..
The Club Technical Leadership Level 1 Course, formerly known as the Director of Coaching license, is designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to align their club's mission, values, and principles with effective technical leadership. The curriculum emphasizes creating player-centered development environments and fostering safe, competitive settings. The course combines in-person sessions at the U.S. Olympic Performance Center at UNC Charlotte with virtual components, running from January through April.
Corri's selection underscores her exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing women's soccer. Her participation not only enhances her professional development but also positions Oregon Premier FC at the forefront of progressive coaching practices. This initiative reflects a broader commitment to increasing female representation in soccer leadership, a vision championed by U.S. Soccer's SheChampions Coaching Initiative since its inception in 2021.
We are immensely proud of Corri's achievement and confident that her involvement will bring invaluable insights and strategies to our club, further enriching the development of our players and the broader soccer community in Oregon.
