The OPFC Academy program was started in 2019 when it launched the OPFC Boys Academy. Since its inception, the Academy continues to strive to provide the best development environment in the region. Our dedicated top-class coaching staff, our principles of play, and player focussed environment provide a platform for each individual to maximize their potential.
Our possession-based game model allows each player to develop on the ball. We believe that dominating and possessing the ball is key to developing a player’s ability to play to be creative and comfortable with the ball at their feet. Our principles of play are supported by our game model documentation which provides a clear picture for our players to execute at the highest level in all 4 key moments of the game. The 2023-24 season sees the full launch of the OPFC Girls Academy after a successful pilot season with our 2009-2007G age groups.
