In an effort to serve the most competitive players at Lake Oswego Soccer Club and Willamette United Football Club, we are creating the OPFC Pre-Academy Program. This program will begin in June of 2021. We will serve our U11 Boys players as well as all of our U11 – U 14 girl players. The OPFC Pre-Academy age groups will train during specific times throughout the 2021-22 season. Summer season (June/July), Fall Season (August-November) & Winter season (December/Mid January).
During each season the Pre-Academy coaches will select 1 high-level team comprised of the top LOSC and WUFC players to go and compete at local or travel tournaments. Every player will be allowed to participate in the Pre-Academy training sessions during the summer season. In the Fall the Pre-Academy program will become invitation only with those players invited playing in high level competition.

Pre-Academy Staff
The Head Coaches from each age group at WUFC and LOSC will be Co-Head Coaches for each OPFC Pre-Academy age group.
Training Times
Pre-Academy players will attend a scheduled THIRD practice each week in addition to their LOSC and WUFC practices. Sessions will be run by coaches from both LOSC and WUFC with the support of the OPFC Academy staff.
Training will likely be in the mid-morning. This will allow the players to train before the days gets too hot and will also avoid conflict with afternoon team training.

Tournament and Games
At the end of the July trainings, the Pre-Academy staff will select a group of players that will continue to train through August in preparation for the Summer Slam tournament on August 27-29, 2021 in Vancouver, WA.
